Amy Shank
Amy Shank was born in Wenatchee and spent most of her childhood up the Entiat River Valley, west of Ardenvoir. She holds a B.A. Literature/Spanish minor from Eastern Washington University, a Master in Teaching from Whitworth University in Spokane, and an M.A. Literature from EWU. She has been a teacher for eleven years; she taught high school in Republic, WA, and in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; then she taught English 101 and 201 at EWU for two years before moving to WVC.
She enjoys hiking, backpacking, canoeing, gardening, cross-stitching, writing poetry and fiction, and singing; she is currently learning how to knit and how to play the dobro.
