Hi! I'm Cheryl Niccum.
Just a little bit about myself...
I LOVE teaching students mathematics.
I am a part-time instructor at WVC. This is my twelfth year at WVC. I teach developmental and college level mathematics. I enjoy teaching students. I believe that mathematics can be learned (and enjoyed) by anyone willing to put forth the time and practice effort.
I have a double major BA in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Anderson University (Anderson, IN). In 2008, I completed my masters degree in mathematics (MAT mathematics) at Central Washington University. I have been teaching or tutoring mathematics in some form since I was in high school! (A long, looong time ago...in a different state than Washington.)
I am especially intrigued by dynamical systems. The Mandelbrot set and fractals are Awesome ! The video loop at the right is of the Mandelbrot set and zooming in on a portion of the set.
Students may email me at cniccum@wvc.edu.
