Playing creator, explorer, and documenter of virtual landscapes with the use of GIS and terrain generating software, new responses to the landscape are generated with forms ranging from trompe l’oeil realistic photos and animations to painted geometric abstractions. Many of these works draw on the inspiration of Mt. Rainier, much as Cezanne repeatedly used Mont Sainte-Victoire as a starting point for his abstractions.
